When God calls a man, He does not repent of it. God does not, as many friends do, love one day, and hate another; or as princes, who make their subjects favourites, and afterwards throw them into prison. This is the blessedness of a saint; his condition admits of no alteration. God’s call is founded upon His decree, and His decree is immutable. Acts of grace cannot be reversed.God blots out His people’s sins, but not their names. —Thomas Watson

Pastor Bob Ganote and his wife Barbara live in the Raytown, MO area. Bob received God’s call to the ministry in 1970, and was ordained in 1973 at the New Testament Baptist Temple, St. Joseph, MO, a church he helped start and organize with 13 members in 1971. After shepherding NTBT for five years, Bob and his family moved to Bowie, TX where he entered into missionary training at the Baptist Bible Translators Institute in 1977. Upon completion he enrolled at the Rio Grande Bible Institute in Harlingen, TX to study Spanish. He also attended Florida Baptist Theological College in Graceville, FL, University of Missouri at Kansas City, and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary here in Kansas City. Bob has pastored churches in St. Joseph, MO, Blytheville, Ark, Beaumont, TX, and Covenant Baptist Church in Kansas City, where he pastored for four years before moving the church to its current location on Truman Road. Upon relocation, a new church was formed by combining Covenant Baptist Church with the 15th Street Baptist Church. The church was named Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in June of 2002 in order to better manifest the teaching of Scripture regarding the Doctrines of Grace embraced by Pastor Ganote.***************************
